Holding Hands: Technology mediates our relationships through virtual interaction and telecommunication, connecting us over impossible distances while simultaneously alienating our bodies. The Holding Hands project is an arduino controlled smart textile (scarf) with soft, warm, hands which can hold and be held; maintaining that comfortable distance technology affords us while engaging the body in a tactile way. The resulting object is a sad and sweet answer to the problem of loneliness in a digital world.

Inflatable Bed – a performance based on a dream

"Moira" (Fate) a shadow performance from the inside of a nylon inflatable bubble.
Action: measuring lengths of thread, sewing them along the surface from within, and finally cutting those lengths. The action is repeated until there is no more room for threads, or when the inflatable is too heavy and wounded to support itself. (performed live at "eventeventevent" 2012)
